Having trouble getting up from a chair? How about a cane!
Do you use a cane or walker? Do you sometime have difficulty getting up from a couch or chair? Well you’re not alone. Many people struggle with trying to stand from a seated position only to find that their cane or walker doesn’t provide any help. The single hand grip on the cane and the dual hand grips on the walker don’t afford any leverage to assist when trying to rise from a seated position? There are canes and walkers that have an additional hand grip(s) positioned so that the user can use their own body strength to get to a standing position.

My mother is 75 and is having problems getting out of her chair and I'm thinking about getting her a cane or walker. What do you recommend?
ReplyDeleteI am 58 yrs old with arthritis and use a quad cane to help me. It works great.

I also have an electric lifting chair that helps me get up from sitting down. You may want to look into those as they are easy on the back.
